Take your paddling skills to the next level with a clinic hosted by the head coach of Vancouver Island’s top team, Tom Arnold. We build custom clinics at VI Paddling, as well as at host clubs throughout the Pacific Northwest. Tom is a high-demand coach and leader in the dragon boating community and will work with you towards your paddling goals.

Tom has taken many VI Paddling teams to Club Crew World Championships and has consistently developed them to be podium contenders against the world’s best. He has also raced for Team Canada in the Premier and Senior A divisions as an athlete and is the owner of numerous medals for his efforts. As coach of Team Canada’s Senior B National Team, Tom helped his team reach the podium 37 times at the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF) World Dragon Boat Racing Championships in 2019 in Thailand, 2023 in Thailand, and 2025 in Germany.
