Smoke on the Water is VI Paddling’s learn-to-race dragon boat program, coming together each year just in time to participate in Vancouver Island’s showcase race, the Victoria Dragon Boat Festival. It’s all the fun, with just enough practice, perfect for anyone who wants to give dragon boating a try, and for those with previous dragon boat experience who aren’t able to commit to a full-time team.
Coach: Janice Meier, DBC Level 1 Community Coach certified. Competed with the Gorging Dragons team at 4 national championships and 3 world championships.
