The 8th Annual Dry Heave Dragon Boat Festival is in the books! A massive thank you to everyone who came out and paddled at the 2024 event. There was 66 hard fought races, more than a baker’s dozen of cookie medals handed out, and we crowned our new King and Queen of the Heave.
60+ paddlers showed up to the races and countless others came out to cheer, buy treats, help set up and take down, and generally be the awesome paddling community members we know and love you to be.
We also saw the first ever Dino Lab Extinction Relay Race—a spectacular feat of athleticism that truly needed to be seen to be believed. A big shoutout to our new club sponsor, Dino Lab Inc. for supporting this fun addition to the day!
Funds raised from Dry Heave go straight back into the club and help support the purchase and upkeep of club equipment and help develop club programs, and 2024 was another great success with well over $3,000 raised – thank YOU!
Huge congratulations to everyone who competed and a particular shout out to our reigning King and Queen, Deryck Masterman and Cara Weirmier.
