2024 Comox Dragon Boat Festival
VI Paddling partnered with the Town of Comox to host our first ever Comox Dragon Boat Festival on a beautiful sunny Saturday in the Comox Valley in 2023, and we are excited to be hosting the event again in 2024!

A recap of 2023…
On September 16, 2023, approximately 500 paddlers from across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands took to the waters off Marina Park in Comox for an exciting day of 200 metre racing.
For the first time ever, VI Paddling brought 10-paddler dragon boat racing to the province, in addition to the standard 20-paddler dragon boats.
As Vancouver Island’s experts in dragon boating, we are committed to supporting and growing dragon boating on the island including through the growth of the Comox Dragon Boat Festival in future years.
Thank you to those teams who joined us for our first festival and we hope to see you all again for another exciting day of 200m racing at the 2024 Comox Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday, September 14.
Below you will find the final results from 2023. Additionally, we would like to congratulate River Spirit from Campbell River for winning the inaugural Spirit Trophy – thank you for the energy and positive spirit you brought to this event.
