About the team: Under direction from Rear Admiral Ron Buck, the Navy Dragon Anchors were formed as a DB team in 2001. Our team comprises of Military serving and retired /DND Civilians and family and friends of both. We strive for excellence as a team both on and off the water.
We’re a rec team that works hard to finish strong, but our group is founded on community strength and mutual care and support.
Coach: Mike Weirmier, Senior A National Team Member, with diverse paddling experience. Mike has been paddling since 2004 and he is also a member of the Gorging Dragons Premier High-Performance Team.
Festivals attended: Gorge Super Sprints, GorgeFest, Victoria, Nanaimo and Penticton Dragon Boat Festivals.
