Started in 2024, VI Paddling is excited to bring back the expedited Learn-To-Dragon-Boat program to Nanaimo! This is your chance to dragon boat race at Nanaimo’s Westwood Lake! Learn from Vancouver Island’s dragon boat experts over four practices, and then join the 2026 Westwood Lake Dragon Boat Regatta on Saturday, July 18th. Skilled coaches will teach you everything that you need to know in 4 easy practices leading up to the big race. You’ll participate in 3 races on July 18th.
