About the team: Wanting to showcase the many awesome qualities of dragon boating to more awesome people, the idea to start a women’s recreational team with a focus on those of us over 50 was born. Lead by a 50+ woman with world class competition experience and a great sense of humour, this team will surely be a force to be reckoned with. Coach: Janice Meier, DBC Level 1 Community Coach certified. Competed with the Gorging Dragons team at 4 national championships and 3 world championships.
Festivals attended: Super Sprints in May, Victoria Dragon Boat Festival in August, possibly the Nanaimo Dragon Boat Festival in July.
