Practice times: Mondays and Thursdays 7:00 – 8:30pm, Sundays 12:30 – 2:30pm. Additional practice options available in Cumberland.
About the team: You’re never too old to be fast on the water, as the Gorging Dragons Senior C program has shown as past champions at the Victoria Dragon Boat Festival and multi-time gold medalists at Club Crew World Championships (CCWC). This program is geared towards competing at Canadian National Championships and (qualifying for) CCWCs against the best 59+ paddlers in the world. If you want to be fast on the water, and like the idea of working hard with a supportive group of peers to reach really big goals, then we want you. Open (men’s), women’s, and mixed crews available (dependent on the current number of people in our program). Our Senior C teams have earned a total of 18 CCWC medals to date.
Coaches: The Gorging Dragons are led by a team of coaches who all have experience with the Canadian National Team program, including Tom Arnold, Mallorie Nicholson, and Andree St Denis.
Festivals attended: Gorge Super Sprints, Vessi 500 Championship, Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival, Victoria Dragon Boat Festival. The Gorging Dragons teams attend the Canadian National Championships every odd year to try and qualify for the Club Crew World Championships held every even year.

Recruiting?: Yes – recruiting both men and women ages 59 – 69. No paddling experience required. We are part of the high-performance program, so prospective team members should have a reasonable fitness level and desire to train hard.
