About the team: We’re the team for senior-aged paddlers on southern Vancouver Island who are looking for something a cut above the usual recreational dragon boat team. Most of us are ex-Gorging Dragons and, even though we’re now retired, we still love the exercise and camaraderie of dragon boating, and like to push ourselves on the water. We welcome relatively fit seniors with a competitive spirit, who want to improve their paddling abilities, and are willing to put in the work and practice attendance to make that happen. We may be old, but we love being fast, and showing those young paddlers whose boss!
Coach: Led by Gorging Dragons head coach, Tom Arnold.
Festivals attended: If there are sufficient numbers and interest we envision entering local festivals as a team each summer, with the goal of being a topflight finisher.
