About the team: Smoke on the Water is VI Paddling’s learn-to-race dragon boat program, coming together each year just in time to participate in Vancouver Island’s showcase race, the Victoria Dragon Boat Festival. It’s all the fun, with just enough practice, perfect for anyone who wants to give dragon boating a try, and for those with previous dragon boat experience who aren’t able to commit to a full-time team. Coach: Toni Weirmier. Toni has been paddling since 2016 and drumming since 2004. In addition to this program, Toni coaches the No Drama Llamas and Gorge-O-Saurus teams.
